Self-supervised training for blind multi-frame video denoising

We propose a self-supervised approach for training multi-frame video denoising networks. These networks predict each frame from a stack of frames around it. Our selfsupervised approach benefits from the temporal consistency in the video by…

Bayesian Feature Discovery for Predictive Maintenance

This paper considers predictive maintenance, which is the task of predicting rare and anomalous events (typically, system failures) using event logs data, which are series of timestamped symbolic codes emitted at regular or irregular intervals by a…

Stability of ablation flows in inertial confinement fusion: non-modal effects

Fast transient growth of hydrodynamic perturbations due to non-modal effects is shown to be possible in an ablation flow relevant to inertial confinement fusion (ICF). Likely to arise in capsule ablators with material inhomogeneities, such growths…

Irregular sleep habits, regional grey matter volumes, and psychological functioning in adolescents

Changing sleep rhythms in adolescents often lead to sleep deficits and a delay in sleep timing between weekdays and weekends. The adolescent brain, and in particular the rapidly developing structures involved in emotional control, are vulnerable to…

A Langevin-Based Model with Moving Posturographic Target to Quantify Postural Control.

Falls are a major concern of public health, particularly for older adults, as the consequences of falls include serious injuries and death. Therefore, the understanding and evaluation of postural control is considered key, as its deterioration is an…

A Spectral Approach of Multi-Scale Metamodelling Applied to Acoustic Propagation

There exists many numerical methods to simulate wave propagation through complex media with a very good precision. However, taking into account the fluctuations of the propagation medium necessitates a statistical approach implying a prohibitive…

DISCRETE STICKY COUPLING OF FUNCTIONAL AUTOREGRESSIVE PROCESSES

In this paper, we provide bounds in various metrics between the successive iterates of two functional autoregressive processes with isotropic Gaussian noise of the form $Y_{k+1}=T_\gamma(Y_k)+\sqrt{\gamma\sigma^2}Z_{k+1}$ and $\tilde Y_{k+1}=\tilde…
