In Saclay, the master's degree that trains the elite specialists in artificial intelligence
Tech companies are snapping up graduates of the "Mathematics, Vision and Learning" master's degree, originally created by the ENS Paris-Saclay. Its graduates, who are the driving force behind French research in this sector, combine a solid background in mathematics with a mastery of data science.
Master Mathématiques, Vision, Apprentissage
Led by Nicolas Vayatis and Yann Gousseau, and piloted by the ENS Paris-Saclay since its creation in 1996 within the mathematics department of the ENS Cachan to support developments in image processing and learning theory, the MVA master's degree has now a large number of partners among the major teaching and research institutions in the Paris region.
Benefiting from a particularly dynamic French research community in Artificial Intelligence, the MVA master's degree is at the heart of a real ecosystem composed of research teams, administrations, large and medium-sized companies, and venture capital-funded start-ups, making it a major player in the transfer of knowledge and technology in the Ile-de-France region, in France, and well beyond the Saclay campus. The MVA is considered as the best training in data science and machine learning in the world. The master receives more than 500 applications each year and trains nearly 200 students from 12 countries.
